I’m on board with Turmeric and it’s many health benefits. The benefit that interests me the most is it’s anti-inflammatory qualities. I’ve been a long time allergy sufferer and tend to wake up sneezing with poofy eyes in the morning. Also, I have a very sensitive digestive system with a few food intolerance’s, so I suffer from inflammation there.
I like to drink a cup of this first thing in the morning as a “flush” to help ease any inflammation in my body. It’s a great drink for kidney and liver support.
Turmeric lemon detox drink
Ingredients
4 cups of water
Fresh ginger (can use powdered as well – to taste)
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (to taste)
2 squeezed lemons
2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup
Directions
- Blend all ingredients (especially if you are using fresh ginger) and I will throw in a handful of ice for some friction. This is enough to refrigerate for the week for one person.
